Yes. Delivery to HI and AK typically takes around 2 weeks. All orders are shipped via Amazon Fulfillment and are fully tracked and insured.

Once your order is processed (usually within 1–3 business days), you will receive a tracking number by email. Use that number on the carrier’s website to follow your shipment.

We offer a 30-day return policy. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your item. The product must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as received. Please include your order number when you reach out.

Email info@anchor-man.com with your order number and reason for the return. We will send a prepaid return label and instructions. Do not send items back without first requesting a return, as they will not be accepted.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval. Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method. Allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card provider to post the refund.

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, email info@anchor-man.com immediately with a photo of the damage and your order number. We will resolve the issue promptly.

As a general guide:

• Up to 18 ft — 8.5 lb fluke anchor or 3.5–8 lb grapnel anchor
• 18–25 ft — 13 lb fluke kit, Richter 14–18 lb, or navy anchor
• 25–32 ft — Richter 25 lb, fluke 25 lb, or box anchor 19–25 lb
• 32–40 ft — Box anchor 25 lb or river anchor kit 30 lb

When in doubt, size up — a slightly heavier anchor always holds more reliably, especially in current or wind.

Fluke-style anchors (Danforth design) are best for sand and mud — the wide flukes dig in and resist dragging. Our Galvanized Fluke Style Anchor Kits and the Richter Anchor both perform excellently on soft bottoms.

For rivers, rocky bottoms, and strong currents we recommend the River Anchor (vinyl-coated mushroom style) or our complete River Anchor Kits (20 lb and 30 lb). The slip-ring design retrieves cleanly from snags, and the vinyl/PVC coating protects your hull.

A box anchor (also called a slide anchor) digs into the seabed from any angle and self-resets when the tide or wind shifts. A grapnel anchor has four folding tines that catch on rocks, weeds, and hard bottoms where a fluke anchor won’t bite. It’s ideal for kayaks, small boats, and PWCs in rocky lakes or rivers. Our folding grapnel anchors collapse flat for storage in a kayak hatch.

A 3.5 lb or 8 lb folding grapnel kit is the best all-round choice — compact, works on any bottom type, and comes with rope and bag. If you’re beaching your kayak, a beach spike anchor keeps it secured on shore.

Slip the motor muffs over the water intake ports on the lower unit, connect a garden hose, turn the water on fully, then start the engine. Run at idle for 5–10 minutes until water exits the telltale. Always shut the engine off before turning off the water. Do this after every saltwater run.
